This was another hectic week for me. We had another snow day due to bad weather, and another two-hour delay for the same reason…but I had (have) so much work to get done. It’s nice to have a day off in the middle of the week, but I would rather have been at work getting sh*t done, and I would prefer that the day off be one of my choosing, instead of it being because we’re getting six inches of snow with a nice icy finish. Yuck.
Work has been pretty crazy. We’re downsizing a bit to allow another organization in the community to lease space in our building, so we’re having to rearrange a bunch of stuff, condense stuff, and get rid of (really old) stuff that we haven’t had a use for in years. There is more than one silver lining to all of this, but a personal silver lining was acquiring a nice big desk to use in our house for our computers. This allowed us to get our smaller computer desks–and computers–out of our living room and put them in a room that we’ve wanted to turn into a home office for years. The room still needs a lot of work, but the desk and computers are in there now, so three cheers for that. And our living room looks a lot nicer now, too.
I didn’t get to read a whole lot this past week; I had school work to get done and some other things going on. As soon as I’m done writing this, I’ll be spending the rest of the evening reading.
- Nemesis Games, James S.A. Corey (I’m about 100 pages away from finishing this one)
- The Abundance, Annie Dillard
- Sunshine, Robin McKinley (reading with sj)
Currently watching: The same list as last week, but we finished Black Mirror and started watching the TV adaptation of Stephen King’s The Mist. We’ll probably finish that one up tonight, though.
I wrote two reviews last week, in case you missed them:
Have a great week, everyone!
